Odds & Ends, by R. CrumbUncle Hansje, the comics man
R. Crumb is famous for Fritz the Cat, Zap Comics and Weirdo. But who is familiar with 'The Silly Pigeons', or his portrait of Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, or his beautiful cover art for Winds of Change? They are collected in this book, together with all portraits and drawings for family and friends that Robert Crumb found in his own archives. Released by Oog & Blik, 'Odds & Ends' is available for € 27.00 (EURO).

Waiting for Food Number 2, by R. Crumb

Waiting for Food, number 2

More restaurant placement drawings by R. Crumb,
recently released by Dutch editor 'Oog & Blik'
Remember R. Crumb's legendary 'Waiting for Food' placemat drawings? Well, our man has been doing some five years more waiting in the meantime. And lucky for us, the Dutch editor Oog & Blik had the good sense to preserve these freestyle drawings 'n' doodles for the centuries to come. What's Crumb himself got to say about his new book?

"I get weary of talk, talk, talk. I run out of things to say... And here in France these dinners go on for hours. I have plenty of time to make elaborate drawings, lots of cross-hatching."

The result is a hard cover book that no Crumb-lover will want to miss. Designed by Joost Swarte and Robert Crumb himself, 'Waiting for Food, Number 2' offers 98 pages of weird, wild and witty table pleasures.

R. Crumb's new sequel to the legendary 'Waiting for Food' placemat drawings from the Dutch editor Oog & Blik, 'Waiting for Food Number 2' is available for € 18.00 (EURO).
