Sonoman by Oswal
Osvaldo Viola started his career in the magazines Frontera and Hora Cero. There, he illustrated several episodes of Oesterheld's 'Ernie Pike' series. He had his real breakthrough in the field in 1965 with comics adaptations of 'David Copperfield' and 'Robinson Crusoë'. A year later, he created the character 'Sonoman', which he drew for ten years. This superhero comic was inspired by the American DC Comics. For Cimoc magazines, Oswal created such comics as 'Mark Kane', 'Big Rag', 'Buenos Aires, Las Putas y el Loco' and 'Consummaatum est'. For the comics supplement of Chaupinela magazine, Oswal created 'Mascarin'.
